Models
Download & Manage Models
Notably uses OpenAI's Whisper AI models for transcription. All models run locally on your device. Download the models you need based on your accuracy and speed requirements.
Available Models
Each model offers different trade-offs:
- tiny: Fastest, smallest (~75MB), lowest accuracy - good for quick tests
- base: Fast, small (~140MB), decent accuracy - ideal for real-time
- small: Balanced (~470MB) - good all-around choice
- medium: High accuracy (~1.5GB) - recommended for post-recording
- large: Best accuracy (~3GB), slower - for critical transcriptions
Model Details
For each downloaded model, you can view:
- File size and disk space usage
- Relative accuracy rating
- Processing speed characteristics
- Download status and progress
Delete Models
Remove models you no longer need to free up disk space. You can always re-download them later. Note that you cannot delete a model currently set as your real-time or post-recording model.
